#s 172, 173 & 174 Water Street
These were taken last night after a great workout, a great meeting, and a great meal. They're not so much pictures I'm really proud of as pictures that amuse me. While taking the last one of the figurine, a random stranger, a young guy, who was out for a walk at 2 in the morning stopped and asked me what I was doing. Maybe I looked like I was casing the store in the picture but I told him I was just out for a little practice with my camera and apparently he was just curious and he walked off with a smile.

#s 169, 170 & 171 Magic
Today was fun, despite the weather.
Greg's book launch was packed with the short, grey-haired women and tall, skinny men of the older St. John's art scene. I love when parties or events are held at Bianca's, it's such a beautiful setting with its bright colours, brick walls and love of curved lines.
Greg read from his new book You Better Watch Out. I really can't wait to sink my teach in it, which is just what I'm going to do after I finish this upload.
After the party I had a great planning session with some mysterious characters down at the Wonderbolt space, I'm quite excited about some upcoming projects in which I may or may not become a surly ninja turtle.

#168 Cone of Pine
Note to self: sleep more.
My legs hurt. The french school went better today, I got them to work out a short routine each, now I've got more to work with and an idea of how to help them. Class with Jeff, Lauren, Dash and Dan. That was fun, I mostly just laughed maniacally and contact juggled. Tonight may have been the dawning of the age of Aquarius. Celebrated that.
Why can't I play the tin whistle yet? (lack of practice may be an issue)
How can I become both Gene Kelly and Cary Grant?
I'm hoping the storm will put the kibosh on many midterms for MUN students.
Today's picture is a study on surviving the harsh winter, or something.

#s 165, 166 & 167 Woo!
Okay so they can't all be gems...
Um, a couple of thumb tacks I found poked into the table, number 13, my locker at the circus space and... our poor little solar system, discarded in a box. *wipes away tear*
I have now officially caught up. Yay! *does the caught up dance*
French school tomorrow. I have to see if I can get this organized better, I hate feeling useless when I'm getting paid. I'll see if I can straighten things out and get them inspired, otherwise I'm going to have to tell Beni that I don't think there's a job for me to do there.
I had a grand ol' visit with Pete, talking about passed years in the circus and the coming summer. Quite a lot to be excited about, I hope it all turns out.
#s 162, 163 & 164 Training Time
Tonight could be the night that we cross the 1000 visitor mark, as well as the night I catch up to where I'm supposed to be in the quest for 365 pictures. Excited?
These are some pictures of equipment at the circus space. I like the textures in the stilts and how the knobs on the juggling clubs make a wave shape. As for the little karate guy, I just like the little karate guy.

Family Tree
Hey look! A drawing!
This one isn't finished. I didn't like the fist once I inked it, so I gave up on it for a while. I still like the concept, though. It's an illustration of a lyric from a song called "Different Songs" by Ian Foster. "He's singing as he wrestles his family tree/ He says I'm wrestling the blood that runs through me." I don't think there's anywhere you can listen to that song yet (other than live shows, of course), but you can check out his website for more good tunes! www.ianfoster.ca
#s 159, 160 & 161 Colours
Lot's of thinking about the future, tonight. Editing pictures can be quite soothing, apparently.
The picture of Aaron and James is kinda weird. I was going to put one of them in blue and the other in red so it would kind of be like you were looking at them through 3D glasses, like the old kind. Well I didn't like how the blue looked with the existing colours, so I decided this would be a very angry shoulder throw/blind catch. Grr!
I need to mess with diptychs more, so far they've all taken on similar dimensions. Also, I have a project in mind that requires trompsing out into the cold with a tripod... but it's hard to get inspired be the winter colours. I'll get to that one at some point.
