#s 238 & 239 Cape Spear

This strikes me as a good setting for an old, Hitchcock-type suspense thriller.
Edward looking stoically out at the water.

Some pictures from a photo adventure out to Cape Spear. It's hard to take a nice picture that doesn't look like a post card in places like that.

I have to go to bed early tonight, we're rehearsing fire early tomorrow morning... Oh, and I'm going to be eating fire onstage. Woo!

Also, it looks like I skipped #237 but while looking at past posts, I noticed that I put up two #s 131 but it's going to take me awhile to change all the numbers between here and there.

#s 236 & 237 Polaroids!

A couple more pictures from the Dave's going away party... If I were Lauren, I'd probably look more worried.

Spent three hours rehearsing for the NLAC awards today, I think that's going to be a fun show. It's nice seeing Ana again, she did a run through of her acts including the new cerceau number which looks amazing. I'd heard she had been training nonstop recently and it shows.

Check out Dave Cox' new blog while he's unicycling across Canada. He's only just started and the posts are already very interesting.

I think there will be photo adventuring tomorrow, so I may have something interesting tomorrow night. AdiaĆ.

#235 Wheel

We're all line dancing in a furnace of sex and misfortune
the fires are scorching but if we keep dancing we will survi-i-i-ive.
We're all romancing just as much as is romantically possible;
as much as it costs it will all be worth, it at the end of the night, when we're still alive.

#234 Nerf

Last night was Dave's going away party as he's leaving tomorrow to ride across this very large country from BC to Newfoundland (that's right, *he's* not going to forget NL exists) and we won't get to see him for some time. The party was very strange but above all very fun. This picture of Laura happened before the chest-lollipop and after the wet floor-stair slide, this was the period when the Nerf guns were out in full force.

#233 Peeling

Rain-rain-rainy-rain. I like this house/side of the Sprout, I like the way it's peeling... I'm going to bed early with a book because of the rain-rain-rainy-rain.

#232 Lookout

This was taken during a lovely walk with Sara today in the beautiful weather. This guy's my favorite because he's not wearing any shoes. Also, in this picture his telescope looks like a recorder...

#231 Portal

And the flower
Would be its offering
Of love to the desert.
And the desert,
So dry and lonely,
That the creatures all
Appreciate the effort.

#s 228, 229 & 230 No Humans

I know. The last one is really weird, but I get to do a really weird one every once in a while.

If you know where the first one is from you definitely deserve a prize. It was another case of looking *really* creepy to passers-by while taking that one. No song lyrics for you today.

Solo Adventure: Downtown.

Can you tell that I just got a new camera?

Some of these I edited a very tiny bit, some not at all. This is a very vibrant city.

(No more school for three whole weeks! Woo!)

#s 224, 225, 226 & 227 Photo Adventure w/ Lauren

Tree in three parts.Focus.
Broken, like everyone here.
Spider-Tiger!
You be the dictator; I'll be the oppressed
you be the third-world and I'll be the west
you'll be the last giant panda bear
I'll be the last giant panda bear's fur
you be the ba-a-aby bird; I'll be the regurgitated worm

The Cellar

That exciting new piece of equipment I was referring to a couple of posts back is a shiny new (used) Nikon D40! Not quite as fancy as David's D80, but I like it quite a bit...

The first is St. David inside a sculpture at the ACC. You can see his halo.

The second is the back of The Cellar, a restaurant near the circus space. It usually smells awesome. I really love how the building looks, and I've wanted to photograph it for a while. David, have you posted a picture of this already? I can't remember...

The colors aren't quite the same as what they are on my computer, I'm not sure how to fix that. I'll give it a shot. Woo!

#s 222 & 223 Meters & Doors

And so your future's looking bright
And you've reached the giddy heights
Don't worry it will soon end
It is all shallow and pretend
The crack of doom
Is coming soon
The crack of doom
Is coming soon
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha

So the six hour Circus Easter camp went well today, it certainly could have been a long and harsh six hours with just me, Jeff and Lauren teaching the large group. Hats off to my fellow instructors! Having some teenagers in the class made a big difference, it's so nice getting to teach older kids. By the end of the session it felt like most people had really learned a lot.

*yawn* Bed now.

#221 Evidence

...we have none.

Don't know what's going on here, but it caught my eye during a walk. The house looked interesting. The picture, not so much.

Board.

This is what my brain looks like.

#220 Dogs

Wild eyed they came from all directions
Stompin' on the dance floor and droppin' all their junk

#s 218 & 219 Chillin'

#s 215, 216 & 217 Take This Slingshot

...it will help you on your journey.

We had a nice walk along the shore yesterday, the weather was uncharacteristically spring-like and Jeff brought his slingshot along, so we all had a go pretending to be Link.

Soon!

T minus 3 days, and the bulk of this crazy term's schoolwork will be over! I'll be sure to post a few things soon after that happens. I've been itching to paint something, and I might have some new exciting equipment happening tomorrow-ish.

Hold on!

Additionally, for any newcomers to the site, be sure to check out the first post, and look at some of the older submissions -- back when it was all shiny and new, and I hadn't fallen off the bandwagon.

Cheers :)

#s 212, 213 & 214 The Cove

Just back from Bunyan's Cove with some pictures from the weekend. The last one looks really tilted but I think it's just because of the slanted shore and hill in the background.
