But it won't be long
These were taken today on one of the Australian navel ships that have stopped in at the harbour. Pretty much the first thing on the tour, after the big scary helicopter, was a sailor letting visitors handle some of the guns used on the ship. You can imagine what group of people were most excited about getting to hold a real gun, so it was that I found myself surrounded by the most heavily armed children I'd ever care to meet.
I don't feel particularly pro- or anti-military but I found the images very unsettling. What do you think?
